federal representatives

scientists, teachers, truck drivers...
anyone eligible to vote
just like jury duty
.
each person works their legislative session
as a representative in the us house
.
each person works their legislative session
as a representative in the us house
their votes are collected by states
and cast alongside their representative
if a state has 8 representatives
this community group casts 8 votes too
.
why?
representatives are subjected to too much
lobby, re-election, personal gain, political loyalties, etc
.
why?
the longer someone holds power
the more likely they are bought and paid for
.
why?
re-election causes problems like
voting incorrectly, promising incorrectly, etc
.
why?
citizens (crowdsourcing) is effective
the 99% should have a larger say in government
.
how?
they should serve "anonymously" during their brief terms
with their names and voting record released to the public
some time after their term is over
why: protect them from influence, blame, fame, etc.
.
how ?
it shouldn't take too much time
they get a 15 minute brief on the pros and cons
and cast alongside their representative

it shouldn't take too much time
they get a 15 minute brief on the pros and cons
one from each 'side' of proposed legislation
delivered in print (2 pages) and video (30 min total)
they watch and or listen and vote within 30 minutes
a minimum of 100 votes is collected from the pool
majority gets the decision
!
why?
wise: exclude the ignorance vote, or undecided
wise: exclude most external influence
wise: promote good citizenship
wise: incentive to vote wisely for your future
a paycheck level of compensation
.
this adds 435 people to the government
in the house of representatives
plus some state-level administration
.
why
?
for we the people
.
questions?
how to keep it transparent?
how to make it cost effective?
how to make it easy for these voters?

we need to tweak our constitution to insure representatives serve the people, not just those who elected them, not the party, not some lobby, not a few wealthy donors. this post was an attempt at an answer. together we can make a better world for everyone.
